HERMEQ’s trench pile infills are custom-profiled EPS blocks used to fill voids between exposed sheet piles. Lightweight, insulating, and fast to install, they’re ideal for civil works, bridge abutments, and utility excavations. Supplied in 4ft lengths and shaped to match site profiles for easy handling and reduced backfill work.
HERMEQ’s trench pile infills offer a fast, lightweight solution to closing the open pans between exposed sheet piles during trenching or excavation. Manufactured from Filcor EPS (expanded polystyrene), these blocks are cut to match specific pile profiles and can be installed quickly by hand—no heavy machinery required.
Standard infill blocks are supplied in 4 ft lengths and can be profiled to match the corrugation of common U.S. sheet pile shapes. They eliminate the need for awkward backfilling in narrow, confined zones and help speed up site work while reducing load on adjacent structures.

Installation Guidelines
- Place Filcor EPS infills on a compacted, level base, staggering joints where possible.
- For fills deeper than 48 in, layer multiple blocks perpendicular to each other for best load distribution.
- Cut blocks with a fine-tooth saw or hot wire cutter for on-site adjustments.
