Supplying Construction Safety Equipment Throughout USA and Caribbean

Why Choose HERMEQ?

HERMEQ USA

HERMEQ was founded in the 1980s by Stephen Melhuish. The now second-generation company is owned & managed by his 3 children. HERMEQ has grown from a small local steel company to one of the largest manufacturers & suppliers of site safety & construction equipment. Our company is proud to employee over 350 people worldwide & support local manufacturing.

As HERMEQ either manufactures or serves as the sole U.S. distributor for the majority of our products, we specialize in bulk distribution. While we do support end users and smaller customers, our core business focuses on supplying large volumes of equipment to rental companies and resellers across the United States.

We operate two main U.S. distribution hubs — Knoxville, TN, and Salt Lake City, UT. We maintain only two core centers to keep our overheads and operating costs as low as possible. Rather than maintaining depots and fulfillment centers in every state like some competitors, we streamline our logistics — allowing us to offer the lowest possible unit prices. We also have regional distribution for certain products from sites in Bristol RI, Savannah GA, Rockledge FL, El Paso TX, Gardena CA, San Bernadino CA, Madera CA, Baltimore MD, Denver CO & Statesville NC.

This means that on smaller orders, our shipping costs may not always be as competitive as a local supplier’s. However, our bulk-discounted pricing simply can’t be beaten.

HERMEQ LLC (USA) is a division of the HERMEQ Group — an international manufacturing and logistics organization specializing in high-performance construction and safety equipment. Our group includes HERMEQ Steel, HERMEQ Manufacturing, HERMEQ On-Site (Installation), HERMEQ Haulage and a network of distribution divisions across North America and Europe including HERMEQ Gmbh (Germany), HERMEQ SAS (France), HERMEQ UK (UK), HERMEQ IE (Ireland) & HERMEQ BV (Netherlands).

At the heart of our business is HERMEQ Steel, our dedicated steel trading, stockholding and processing facility, which allows us to manage raw materials internally for our own manufacturing operations. This vertical integration enables us to deliver significant cost savings, full material traceability, and exceptional product quality.
