MaxiMat® offers incredible value and is a more sustainable option than plywood. Available in black with
an independently tested anti-slip finish, boards can be joined together using a special fixing system (sold
separately) or overlaid. The standard individual board size is 4' x 8' - 0.5". Although are available upon request.

Installation
Before MaxiMat® is installed it is recommended that all severe changes in ground level are smoothed to
ensure a continuous substrate. All large projections must be removed. It is recommended that a non-woven and
needle punched filtration textile is laid out prior to installation. This will ensure water drainage whilst preventing soil from rising up through the handholes and locating holes, dirtying the boards. MaxiMat® should be lifted by two people, ensuring correct manual handling procedures are followed at all times. MaxiMat® has handholes at either end of the board to aid manual handling. However, dragging hooks are available to move boards into position to avoid heavy lifting. The final installation location of each sheet should provide sufficient space for thermal movement. Typically 10mm is recommended. Once in position, MaxiMat® may be retained with proprietary fixing pieces.
Connectors
MaxiMat® is supplied with four fixing holes, one in each corner, to enable both a 2 and 4 way plastic
connector to join the boards together. Boards can be joined in both a single track formation or into areas
using a 4 way connector to join boards in both directions. Connectors are bright yellow to make them
highly visible and come with packs of screws and washers. Boards should be laid over the connection
pieces, and then fixed in position using supplied screws and washers.

MaxiMat® is our most popular mat with re-sellers & hire companies. MaxiMat® is delivered to site in pre-wrapped thin polyethylene film and banded with polyester strips to keep it secure during delivery and when being
unloaded once delivered. Pallets (4' x 8') are incorporated into the packaging to aid the use of mechanical handling with apparatus such as forklifts and lifting booms with slings. MaxiMat® should be stored in its original packaging ona flat solid and free draining storage area until ready for use. It is not recommended to store MaxiMat® more than 3 packs high. Packs should not be unbanded unless safely positioned at ground level.
